Part III

Read a verse

  1. 1

    Read the verse.

Each verse is in a blue box, in English. The English is the American Standard Version, printed in 1901. It is shown without punctuation marks.

  2. 2

    Swipe through the words.

Under the verse is the line Word By Word, In Hebrew Order (Greek Order in the New Testament). Each word has its own card, in the order it was written. Swipe sideways to see the next one. The bar under the cards shows where you are.

  3. 3

    Read a long meaning.

A long meaning sits in a box with a scroll bar beside it. Slide the box up to read the rest.

  4. 4

    Learn the card.

To learn what each part of a card means, see How to Read the Word Cards.

Part IV

Find the same word

  1. Tap Match: Off. It changes to Match: On.
  2. Tap a word card. That word turns green everywhere it appears in this chapter.
  3. The verse numbers show how many times, for example “2 matching words in 2 verses.”
  4. Tap Clear to start again. When Match is off, the page says “Matching words are off.”

This is a real example from Acts 9:1, with Match on and “Saul” tapped. Saul is in verses 1, 8, 11, 22 and 24.
