The Borders of Canaan

The borders of the land, as given to Moses before Israel went in. The red dashed line follows Numbers 34 point by point:

• the south runs from the Dead Sea by Kadesh-barnea to the brook of Egypt;
• the west is the Great Sea;
• the north runs from mount Hor to the entrance of Hamath and Hazar-enan;
• the east comes down to the sea of Chinnereth (Galilee) and along the Jordan.

A white dot means no one knows the spot. "Lebo Hamath" is the King James Bible's "entrance of Hamath." This mount Hor is in the north. It is not the mount Hor where Aaron died.
